Mystery Jets latest album (March 2008) blows my mind. I would describe Twenty One as a buffet table with the most amazing variety of food morsels. Every track is a different taste stirring up a wide range of reactions in your mouth (mostly good). Some of their lyrics are random, and at times you might think you are listening to The Maccabees, but their music is fresh, light and has a touch of the eighties era.
They are definitely one of my favourite bands of 2008 and worth purchasing. According to Wikipedia Mystery Jets reckon they are bringing back the eighties and are going to take over the world. We'll see. But for now enjoy the video for first single off the album called Young Love featuring my favourite female vocalist at the moment, Laura Marling.Download:
